Description: Here is one of several lots of Louis Marx and Company "Elegant Miniatures" diecast toy vehicles that I will be listing today. These were made by Marx in their Japanese factory and released under their Linemar trade name. They were meant to compete with Matchbox cars. Each came packaged separately in a little box (just like Matchbox), and the artwork on the boxes in many cases was far better than what was inside! But they apparently did this for a good while, as there are many different vehicles, wild animals, dinosaurs, dogs, and other things in the line! This lot consists of the following LOOSE vehicles. PontiacOldsmobileFordLincoln These are all in really nice, practically new and complete condition, even though there are no boxes with them. My gut instinct is that these and the others I am listing today were part of a larger boxed set, as I have one of those in my collection, and nearly all of these exact vehicles are in that set (you didn't think on some of the more exact one I just figured out what they were from the actual toy, did you?). The photos show these vehicles from many angles, with a yardstick in many of the shots for size reference.
