Description: FOR SALE: The LARRY NORMAN 1988 CD entitled "WHITE BLOSSOMS FROM BLACK ROOTS." Larry Norman, "White Blossoms From Black Roots: Thirty Years: The History & Chronology -- Volume One" (Solid Rock Records SRD 030, 1988) This VERY RARE CD was, as best I can remember, the VERY FIRST Larry Norman CD! Since it was released right at the dawn of the compact disc era, before a lot of people had bought CD players, not that many of these were made and sold before it went out of print. ALSO, please note that, in 1997, Larry Norman put out another CD that was also titled "White Blossoms From Black Roots," but the 1997 CD not only had entirely different artwork and liner notes, but also a different lineup of songs--with only 13 songs, whereas this original version has 16 songs! The Solid Rock SRD 030 CD (the 1988 release) was released in two versions--on the first release, the CD had a blue background, while on a subsequent run the CD had a silver background. This CD has the blue background (see photo), so this was from the first version released. Larry billed this as a "Thirty Years" commemorative compilation, and it draws from a lot of his classic 1970s material as well as from some of his more obscure 1980s material that wasn't distributed quite as widely.
