Description: I have for sale a medal for the 1912 Republican National Convention that was held at the Chicago Coliseum in Chicago, Illinois from Jun 18th to June 22nd. President William H. Taft was nominated for his second term as president, but he lost to Woodrow Wilson. The medal is 3 3/4 inches long and the top bar is 2 inches wide. The medal was made by the Whitehead & Hoag company. The top bar is enameled metal that reads INDIANA in white letters with a blue background and gold trim. It has a short red, white and blue ribbon. The bottom piece is in the shape of a shield with red, white and blue enamel. It has 13 tiny gold stars at the top. There is a circle in the center with part of the Indiana state seal and around the seal it reads NATIONAL REPUBLICAN CONVENTION -1912.
