The carpet is 100% handmade the quality and craftsmanship of this piece is unbelievable. The carpet is sculpted to create a three dimensional effect. Which is absolutely amazing. The carpet is very thick approximately 1" at its highest points. These carpets were made between 1987 and 1988 for the use of Pres. Ronald Reagan they were designed to be used at private political fundraising events for the presidential campaign of 1988 (Bush). I was informed that there were approximately 12 of these carpets made so they are very rare. I want to be very clear that this carpet is not from the White House. They were made using private funds provided by and donors and members of the Republican Party in the same manor that the White House china is paid for. A very rare buying opportunity. The last time one of these carpets was offered for sale it brought slightly over $8,5000.00 The condition is excellent shows very little wear. No stains or tears.
