Description: "HOT WHEELS" #1 1970, DC Comics, 15 Cent, Early Bronze Age, Alex Toth Art, From Cartoon AdaptationEst Grade: 7.5 to 8.0 Very FineNote: My video said it was a 10 Cent comic, but is actually a 15 cent as shown. Brain glitch!Just Reduced! This comic has gained a lot steam over the last few years with higher grades selling pretty quick & much higher than a few years back & many times double price guides as you may know. This is a solid comic as can be seen in the video & pictures. Alex Toth art and adapted from the TV Hanna Barbera cartoon. This has risen to a Key Bronze Age Comic from DC & Hot Wheels are not going away any time soon. These are getting a little harder to find as time passes. This is a high grade comic & only some minor wear brings it out of upper 8's or 9, but still a nice comic to have. It is complete & original, no tears, major creasing or other. The corners & spine are pretty solid as are the staples. This has a very nice display appeal as it maintains its original gloss sheen & colors are strong. The lower right of front cover has some minor indentions, but they do not really detract from appearance much. There were some lines on bottom corner that look like minor creasing, but its not a fold cease and has little impact on appeal. You have to look close to see it. The back cover is nice as well. This looks like a comic read once or twice, not much handling. Tiny little surface stain just under the APR date at top left & it may clean off, but we leave comics as we find them. We would put the comic overall at 7.5-8.0, kind of a coin toss. Parts of the comic are crisp enough for higher, but the pages are O/W & minor wear to cover drop it from the highest grades. You can judge for yourself by pictures taken. Let us know if you have questions. We are pricing under the professionally graded comics of same quality, but feel with our listing at least you get a better look with video & multiple pictures. When offering an opinion on a comic's grade or condition, we try to utilize the more accepted and common grading standards used by professional grading services with a somewhat conservative lean. In addition, we try to detail the overall condition of a comic, including interior pages along with the cover. Likewise, we try to show multiple interior page photos & videos to further assist you in determining what you feel a comic's condition and value may be. Finally, we always suggest that buyers use their own opinions on grading and value and not our own. While we have never had a legitimate complaint on our descriptions of comics (over 500 sold) or other collectibles (thousands sold), antiques and other items we sell, we are not perfect. Please look over all the pictures & video (if available) taken for your consideration and use the zoom feature if needed. They are to allow you to determine what you feel a book's condition & value may be. We try to start our auction (or priced) listings below reasonable market value based on our observations & sales information (price guides & online sales) available, but we know all people are free to judge as they feel is correct. Note also, occasionally comics may be selling higher or lower than guide values due to market changes, death of artists, film releases or other factors. All value is ultimately determined by what buyers are willing to pay, based on their opinions. 95% of our Comics are sold as part of a private collection amassed by a consignor covering 40 years of 1940's-1980's comics. Over 2,000 #1's or 1st Issues coming as time goes by. Collector focused on #1's & hundreds sold already. This is a consignor & not our own collection. Many from his collection have been bagged and put away for over 30 years. We have already sold over 300 #1's including the X-Men #1 (1963), Iron Man #1, Aqua Man #1, Archie #1, Peanuts #1, Mickey Mouse #1, Captain America #1, lots of 1950's TV Genre #1's and dozens more #1 Super Heroes, rare War Comics, Disney, Sci-Fi, Horror, Super Scarce Goldies, and other. We will keep listing as time allows and we are just scratching the surface. Let us know if you have questions. We can (and do) bundle comics for discounts & shipping savings as well. If you buy more than one comic or items and would like bundled shipping, let us know prior to paying. This allows us to invoice you and properly insure items & saves you quite a bit on shipping. If you buy only one comic, just pay & we will get your comic on the way to you. We ship quickly & with great care. Comics will be bagged, boarded & double boxed for protection & fully insured. We require signature upon delivery on comics above $100 unless you request otherwise, so plan accordingly or let us know you do not want it. Comics above $1,000 will be shipped FedEx for insurance purposes. We ship Priority International to Canada unless otherwise requested. This was a recent buyer's feedback: "Great packaging. Easy fast shipping and transaction. Best packing I've ever seen." Of course there is free local pick up and we can meet to assist if you are near Indianapolis or driving through. Also, we have discounts with FedEx & eBay on shipping which do not always show up in eBay estimates on shipping.
