Michael Reinig (1835-1909) was born in Bavaria,but immigrated to the United States while young.He moved to the Helena area in 1863, and opened up a bakery that became a type of grocery store,which he operated until his death. In this case, Michael Reinig was the customer, not the seller, as he paid $116.10 for various itemspurchased on credit over the previous few months. The document appears to be initialed "L.H." This would probably be Louis Hillebrecht (1841-1917),who was the president of the Union Mercantile Co.However, I am not 100% certain of this identification.
