Description: Vintage Heath Heathkit, H8 digital computer with cards and H 17, terminal H19 Monitor and original paperwork including manuals for operation and assembly of the video terminal, and the Multiport Serial I/O card, and assembly of the Floppy Disc. There are also a multitude of schematics as well as programming information. CPU INT, Multiport Serial I/O, Controller Board, WH8-64 Dynamic RAM, and HA8-6 Z80 CPU cards all included. I inherited this computer in 1989 from friends, the founders of The Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York City where this computer was originally used until they upgraded. My eldest son used it until he left for college in 1994. Last time it was used, it was without issue. It has been in clean, dry, smoke free storage since then. When I turned it on today, one of the resistors on the serial card started smoking, and I turned it off immediately. It would probably be a good idea to go through the original capacitors, etc., before using. Due to the fragile nature of vintage hardware, the system is offered AS-IS and for pick up only.
