Published in Stuttgart in 1857 by August Schwaber, this was once used by children in German elementary schools, offering basic information about the various countries of the world, their inhabitants, census figures, etc. Smaller sized (4.25 X 6.5 in., or 16.5 cm. tall), 80 page, flexible hardcover in marble-appearing, papered boards, text in German, in the older, fraktur typeface. There's a schematic map of the world in front and a detailed, fold-out map of Europe (Europa) in the back. Good to very good condition. Complete, securely bound, unmarked, with just light foxing on the pages. There is a spine label with the author's name and possibly the title inked on it (see the final pic). Also, there's a 2 in. split running up the first several leaves along the binding. There are occasional, small tears and page corner bends. Shipping is FREE in the USA. Thanks for looking!
