Description: A bit of World War II paper currency history... December 10, 1941, was a terrible day for the Philippines when the Japanese invaded and occupied that beautiful country, with devastating consequences for Filipinos. The Japanese took the country's hard currency and issued, in 1942, this fiat currency in centavos and pesos. I am selling one of those notes, clearly uncirculated: a five centavos bill with the block PN. An interesting item. Note the very small size: approximately 2x4 inches (Monopoly-sized).
