Description: For sale is an old Japanese Arita blue & white porcelain dish or shallow bowl. The piece is 6 1/8 inches in diameter and 2 inches tall at the rim. The dish has a scalloped edge with a brown dressing. The interior shows an island or shore scene with buildings and boats as shown. The back is undecorated. The dish has a high tapered foot with a glazed center but an unglazed section between. There are no marks. Condition on the dish is fairly good. There are no chips or cracks, but there are some original glaze misses on the foot and some wear to the edge dressing. A fine old piece of Japanese porcelain.
