Description: Gorgeous antique German KPM hand-painted porcelain plaque presented in an antique gilt gesso frame! Signed by the sought after "Wagner" at lower right and depicts a lovely, blue-eyed maiden, "Graciouse" or "Graceful" after the original painting by Angelo Asti. Authentic incised KPM scepter mark on the back (see pics) and "Sz 3" which denotes the 5" by 7" oval size. Dates from the late 19thC to very early 20thC with exquisite, finely done details throughout. Oval porcelain plaque measures 6 7/8" by 5 1/8" with beautiful antique original gilt frame measuring 9" by 7". Porcelain plaque in pristine condition (see pics) with no chips, scratches or cracks. Displays beautifully with colors that are still vivid and vibrant. Possible very light surface wear, but virtually flawless. Any haziness you might see in the pictures is merely a reflection of light. Antique gilt frame in very good condition with some light age-related (see pics) wear, some small losses and rich original patina. Overall, this piece is in near excellent condition and has been well cared for over the past 125+years. Would make a fine quality addition to any porcelain plaque collection.
