The work dates c1910, possibly slightly earlier. English School, listed as 19th/20th Century, several examples of the artist’s work can be seen on findartinfo.com, artprice.com and the sites of several leading provincial auction-houses. A landscape painter working in watercolours, Ward appears to have exhibited his work widely, active mostly in the 1900 – 1935 although little more biographical information has been found. Presented in its original to slightly later frame, this painting will look fabulous displayed.
