What Do We Think With the SP6, Fano does an amazing job of combining specifications not commonly seen together. This one features a Fano branded T-style bridge pickup and their P-90 in the neck. It has a proprietary bridge devoid of the cumbersome ashtray sides and swaps out the individual string ferrules of a standard T-style for a more substantial steel block mounted in the back of the body. In the bridge position, this guitar maintains the classic twang and snap of your favorite tele. The Fano "T" Style pickup provides clear vintage-inspired output without any harshness. It pairs well with overdrives, offering a well-defined midrange that cuts through the mix beautifully. The neck P-90 delivers warmth and punch to bluesy lead lines, and excellent note definition when playing chords. When switching to the middle position, the neck and the bridge create a very spanky attack and slightly scooped EQ. This lends to some very magical clean tones. How Does It Play The string action on this beauty measures barely a hair over 4/64” on the low E string at the 12th fret, and under 4/64” on the high E. There is no fretbuzz.
