Description: This beautiful sterling silver chamberstick comes from the estate of my parents. My father made many trips to the London silver vaults in the 1950s, and this was one of his purchases. (I am selling a few other pieces from their collection. Please see my other listings.) This chamberstick is a bit unusual as it has two arms for holding matches. The original snuffer is intact, and the entire piece is in lovely condition. This piece was made in 1827 by Robert Garrard II of Paxton Street, London--information that is engraved on the underside. The base, sconce, and snuffer bear an engraving of a crown suspended over a standing stag. The chamberstick and snuffer weigh a total of 471 grams. The base is 6 inches in diameter. It stands 3 inches high at the sconce. The snuffer is 3.5 inches high and 1 3/8 inches at its widest diameter. Please feel free to ask any questions.
