General care: This is very exciting new addition, great companion plant perfect for any terrariums and vivariums. This fern-like looking pendulous epiphyte comes from China growing on limestone cliffs. They do prefer shade to bright shade, very good air movement, high humidity but need to slightly dry out by next watering – make sure water is not stacked on leaves too long and leaves are dry by evening. Since they do grow on limestone, extra Magnesium is suggested (we use dolomite powder). They can be grown potted or mounted but best display for them is mounted pendulous hanging down. Little info is available, but we heard that they do prefer drier winter when they are slightly dormant and when leaves do keep more closed – spring summer they open quite nicely. Mature mother parts of plant naturally die off and new offspring keep growing. There are many different potting mixes you can use; we do simple sphagnum moss.
