This is a rare September 5th, 1962 playbill (with an original ticket stub) from the Pre-Broadway engagement of the British import "BEYOND THE FRINGE" at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C. (The production would open October 27th, 1962 at the John Golden Theatre in New York City and run for 667 performances.) ..... The revue starred DUDLEY MOORE, PETER COOK, ALAN BENNETT and JONATHAN MILLER (all shown in cover photos) ..... CREDITS: Book, Music and Lyrics by DUDLEY MOORE, PETER COOK, ALAN BENNETT ("The History Boys") and JONATHAN MILLER; Sets designed by JOHN WYCKHAM; Produced and Directed by ALEXANDER H. COHEN ..... DETAILS: The 20 page playbill measures 6" X 9" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and bios of each of the actors but with the exception of the front cover, no cast photos. Includes an original ticket stub from the September 7th, 1962 evening performance stapled to the front cover ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a corner crease at the bottom right, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
