Rogers topped the chart in 1980 with his recording of Richie’s composition, “Lady.” At the Ryman, they performed nine songs, including “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town” (a hit from Rogers’ days with the First Edition) and “Easy” (a hit from Richie’s tenure in the Commodores).
