Description: Rare1st Variant Crosman Model 400 Repeater Air Rifle owned by Dr. Robert D. Beeman of (Beeman Airguns) .22 cal. Co2, two cylinder, spring fed, "swing fed" 10 shot magazine, full wood stock. First variant with the crossbolt safety. Excellent to fine condition overall showing some minor wear around the front of the receiver top/sides, mint stock, smooth working action. Has been in storage and not used so would possibly need new seals. Comes with original box, that shows some wear, use. See photos.PROVENANCE: This has a brass tag, cable, and signet lock on the trigger-guard. Brass tag marked, "R.D. BEEMAN PRIVATE COLLECTION 913". The signet piece also has his initials of "RDB". A very nice collectible belonging to a leader in the industry. A difficult 1st variant item to procure especially in this condition.
