The dark green foliage is a perfect backdrop for the bright blue flowers. It can grow like a shrub and a vine. The seeds are edible when fresh, as well as the flowers. The flowers are used to color rice. The leaves are used for teas and mixed with lemongrass to make a blue tea. It can grow in most soils and will thrive best in full to part sun. Zones 10-11 Germination Soak seeds 24 hours. Sow seeds 1/4" deep and lightly cover with a medium. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover with plastic but maintain a temperature around 65-75F.
