c1900 Heavy TURKISH OTTOMAN EMPIRE Fertility Bracelet Sz Small w/ Rattle Noise

Description: I found this unusual bracelet at a local estate sale in a box full of antique padlocks, metal tools and hardware. I searched the net - and found several identical ones ranging from $90 to $300. Apparently, it is an Ottoman Empire fertility bracelet. Most are pre-1900 - they were worn in Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, etc. (countries in the Ottoman Empire) to protect young women and girls. They can be worn or displayed as a decorative piece. I DO NOT know how old this is or what metal it is made of - only that it is heavy and a small size. It measures 2" across the opening, and only 1" across the open back. My wrist measures 6 1/2" around - I was able to get it on - but had a hard time getting it off. It does not adjust, i.e. you cannot open it wider or make it smaller. I would NOT recommend this for anyone with a wrist over 6 1/2" around. This has not been cleaned - there is tarnish on it, I am selling it as found.
