Description: Buescher True Tone Alto Saxophone 118601 Good Physical Condition body on offer. The horn presents a first/vintage nitrocellulose lacquer (non-original) that is in overall good shape. The Tru Tone plays through some leaks down to low D and then the leaks make is difficult to get down to low Bb. Horn could definitely use a service ranging from a play condition to full overhaul to taste. The body and neck show very few dings and no obvious dents or resolders (though the lacquer could hide them). The pads (no resonator tan leather) and keys are in ok shape, with some stiff action. There are no snaps present and likely were either ground down or not present originally--Buescher was producing the snap on horns in 1922-23.
