A very nice example of an early WWII British Tommy Helmet 1939/40. Retreat from Dunkirk 26th May 1940 to 4th June 1940 and possibly used in the Battle of Normandy Operation Overlord 6th June 1944 to 30th August 1944. The Shell of the helmet is in very good condition, with most of the original Field paint finish remaining dated 1940. Liner is also in good condition with the early oval crown cushion fitted dated 1939, along with makers mark. Helmet is a good early wartime condition. Becoming hard to find helmets that would have most probably been used in the retreat from Dunkirk and invasion of Normandy. Condition: Good overall condition, please see photos to judge for yourself.
