Description: Bill Veeck signed baseball! Signed on a vintage Official American League - Joseph Cronin ball. Veeck would pass in 1986 and would be elected to the HOF posthumously in 1991. Often referred to as the Father of Sport Marketing, Veeck was known for bringing in the fans. He once signed a midget, Eddie Gaedel, to a one day contract and him duck four pitches for an easy walk and had the White Sox play their game in shorts! He even came up with the idea to plant ivy at Wrigley Field when his father William Veeck Sr. was the president of the Cubs on the 30’s. As the owner of the newly integrated Cleveland Indians, he would lead the team to a World Series Title in 1948. Very, very difficult autograph to find on a baseball especially single signed on an official AL ball. JSA authenticated with the sticker on the letter keeping intact the balls vintage qualities.
