Description: Fabulous Vintage Sterling Silver Mexican Cufflinks, early work of Sigi Pineda featuring Large Gorgeous Abalone. Since Sigi opened his own shop called Plateros in 1952 after a stint with Margot de Taxco and the Castillos, we would date these Cufflinks to that time period. Signed on back of each: Plateros Taxco, Sterling made in Mexico...see photos. Measures approx.: 2" x 1"Weighs: 47.6 grams In excellent condition. The Abalone has beautiful hues of blues, pinks, and greens depending on how the light hits them. There are No chips, and No cracks to the Abalone. The cufflink mechanisms work appropriately and hold securely. These cufflinks are large and not for the faint of heart!
