Description: The 8 pin board for Bachmann/Athearn locomotives (HO) provides a handy way to prepare locomotives that are not DCC ready for fitting of an 8 pin decoder and connection of motor, lights and other accessories. The board also features 2 1.8k resistors to enable direct connection of LEDs for a front and rear headlight, and the ability to bypass the resistors to connect an incandescent bulb. Note you may still require a ~100/200Ohm resistor when connecting a bulb to prevent the bulb drawing too much current at 12V from the decoder…Use of this board will only allow access to 2 (front and rear light) of the up to possible 4 function outputs of your 8 pin decoder.Note: Please ensure that this board will fit your locomotive prior to purchasing, it is primarily suitable for Bachmann and Athearn HO scale diesel locomotives, however not guaranteed to fit all kinds.
