Description: DESCRIPTION Apistogramma paulmuelleri fry. Fry will be an inch in size or smaller. These will be unsexed unless otherwise specified. As pictured, males have beautiful red and blue markings on cheek, red stripes on belly, and blue, pink, and yellow markings on fins. Females are mostly yellow in coloration which intensify during breeding. Peaceful fish, females are slightly aggressive to tank mates when spawning and chase other fish out of the area of the fry. I have witnessed no nipping or damage to other sensitive fish. I have multiple batches of spawns. I can ATTEMPT to sex if a larger fry is available. Kept and bred in hard tap water in San Diego in a 75 gallon community planted tank, unlike most Apistogramma species which require soft acidic water or RO to spawn.
