This stage would become a venue for a Bruce Springsteen concert in November 1971. It was converted to a twin cinema in 1978 and a quad in 1985. In 1989, it added a fifth screen, but despite this, audiences dwindled, the movie-going experience at the cinema suffered dramatically, and after its final run of Stuart Little, Galaxy Quest, Toy Story 2, Bicentennial Man, and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo on December 31, 1999, it closed its doors after nearly 80 years of operation.
