This is an upright rectangular jar with a lithographed metal lid dating to the 1940s or so. The green yellow, red and black printed lid reads, "Squirrel Brand Salted Peanuts Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Mfg. by Squirrel Brand Co., Cambridge, Mass." with a great graphic of a squirrel on a branch. The jar is embossed "AH" on the base, made by Anchor Hocking. The jar measures 9 1/4" h x 5 3/4" w x 5 1/2" d. This display jar is in good antique condition with no cracks, chips, repairs or other problems. The metal lid has oxidation and rust as can be clearly seen in photos, but graphics are bright. No label. A really great, rare addition to your advertising, general store, or peanut collection.
