Description: This is an antique ornate Nautical design bridged floor lamp. It was made by the Mutual Sunset Lamp Company; The bottom is stamped M.S.L. Co. The company was formed in 1924. More than likely this lamp was designed by a famous furniture designer, Gilbert Rohde who started doing pieces for the company in the early 1930s.Rohde. The ship and 3 sails are the company's original design. It is made of solid brass and so is the first large section below that with the twisted side rails. The rest of the lamp is cast with a very ornate base. The etched glass lampshade of course I wouldn't know if it was original or not. New wiring with a pull chain for on/off. The lamp measures 58" tall with a 13" base. The lamp is in very good condition. and in good working condition.
