Description: Antique MEISSEN Porcelain Figurine F73 "Man With Sheep & Dove" MICHEL VICTOR ACIERBeautiful fine porcelain figurine fully marked w the correct Meissen marks under base. Meticulously hand made by Michel Victor Acier, circa late 1700s-early 1800s.A graceful and elegant depiction of an 18th century gentleman in his finery, holding a dove with a sheep at his feet in a Biblical allegory. Michel Victor Acier [French] was a marvelous porcelain figure modeler who came to the Meissen factory to share the position of Modellmeister [Model Master] with a Mr. Kandler in 1764. From 1774-1814 he excelled at designing and creating fabulous figurines in a Neoclassical style. His pieces are much sought after today and are usually found at Fine Art auctions and Estate Auctions. This particular piece was last up for auction in 2022. 7.25" high x approx, 3.5" wide x 3.5" deep Round base 2.75" diameterLooks gorgeous from any angle A very nice size, quite heavy. Magnificent quality. Quite heavy and weighty. Excellent antique condition but for 2 chips- one very minor chip at the tip of the gentleman's left pointer finger- very minor and difficult to notice. See last photo. Second chip is the very end tip of the dove's left wing, see photos. Rest of piece is PRISTINE- No nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, crazing, fading or repair. Flawless. Highly collectible and very rare estate piece.
