Description: This fan is absolutely delightful! It is a gouache painted scene of bluebird couples, the males wearing top hats, going to the opera. It has a double silk/voile leaf, the top leaf in excellent condition. The bottom leaf has started to split, as you can see in photos, but it hasn't affected the opening and closing of the fan. The wooden sticks are in excellent condition, with a charming design of white flowers on the guard sticks. It also has brass washers and a loop. The fan measures 13-3/4" long.
