Description: For your consideration is a incredible antique entry mortise door lock manufactured by P.F. Corbin in New Britain Conn. in the early 1900's. The lock is # 0186 as shown in the 1905 Corbin hardware trade catalog. The strike and bolt are made of brass. The lock body is cast iron. The face plate has a copper flash finish. The mortise lock is in excellent functional condition - it has been refurbished - all parts disassembled, cleaned and properly reassembled. The lock is reversible - it will work with a right hand or left hand swing door. Dimensions are as follows: Face plate: 6-1/2 x 1-3/16", Distance between the face and center-of-hub (set back): 2-3/4". This mortise works with inside and outside pull handles which are not included. Comes with a flat key. Does not come with mounting screws or strike plate. Please look at the pictures carefully as they are considered part of the description.
