Description: Lovely early 1900s maple wood trinket/presentation box. Missing hardware was replaced with period appropriate solid brass catch and hinges. Box measures 5” long by 2 1/2” deep and 2 3/8” tall. Inside dimensions are 4 1/2" long x 2 1/8" deep x 2 1/8" high. Box is assembled using 1/4" thick maple and fthe barefaced housing joint was used for strength. Inside of box has the original yellow paint. Not is fully lined with new dark blue felt. Box was cleaned and refinished with MinWax satin varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax for a soft luster. Shipping weight approximately 1lb.
