Description: Offered for sale is a lovely antique JELLY COMPOTE made by Adams & Co. It is made of bright emerald-green glass, and has the COTTAGE pattern, aka Dinner Bell or Fine Cut Band. This pattern was introduced in 1887. The compote measures 4 3/4 inches (12.1cm) in diameter and stands 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm) tall at the rim. The foot is 2 1/2 inches (6.4cm) in diameter. A U.S. quarter is shown in the fourth picture, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance. The green glass is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It is bright and shiny with no cloudiness or discoloration in the glass. All my items are from a SMOKE FREE home. Watch for the other fine antique and EAPG glass items I'm offering this week! I pack all items in sturdy cartons with plenty of cushioning. My shipping time is a HIGH estimate -- I can usually ship faster than the estimated time. I am happy to combine shipping to save on postage IF doing so will not risk breakage of fragile items. If you win more than one of my items, please wait for a revised invoice before sending payment. International customers please be aware that there may be additional import duties and customs fees not included in the price of shipping. I will do what I can to keep the shipping costs low while still packing each item safely. Used items will be marked as such on the customs forms, which may reduce or eliminate import fees to some countries. Good luck and thanks for looking!
