Description: For sale is a great little plate made by Meissen in the late 19th century . Perfect for use as a dessert plate or display where it takes up less room than the larger pieces. It is hand painted with a nice fruit scene in the center including a lemon, walnut, grapes and blackberries plus some greenery and two bugs / butterflies. A bit of a relief design to the nicely shaped rim with gilding to the edge. The plate is in superb condition with just a minor touch of wear to the gilding along the edge. It displays perfectly! The dish is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed marks as shown. It is 0.75 inches tall and 7.5 inches in diameter. I have a few others on the site if anyone is interested in a pair or set. Germany Fruechteszene scenic If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces.
