Description: Wonderful 10.5” 19th Century, European, hard paste porcelain armorial plate, in the style of the earlier Chinese export made for the Dutch market. Hand painted enamel and gilt decoration with two iron red lions flanking the escutcheon, topped with knight with crown and bird on top. The rim has famille rose style floral decoration between gilt patterned rings. Unglazed foot rim, fluoresces dark purple, consistent with porcelain of the time period (shown in last picture with other pieces also listed in my shop). No chips/cracks/repairs, excellent condition for age.
