Description: For sale is an antique 8 5/8" plate in the "Louise" series by J & C, Bavaria. The plate has a scalloped rim with gold trim and raised highlights, and a hand painted daisy motif in soft colors: beige, green, blue, yellow and white. In wonderful antique condition: No chips, cracks, breaks, crazing or repairs. There are several minor utensil marks and the trim shows only minor gold loss. There are some small "pimples" and pits in the glaze, a product of the manufacturing process. Marked in green on the underside: (crossed-stem flowers) J & C "Louise" Bavaria.
