Description: Up for sale is this lovely antique 1861-1862 bound volume of, "Annales de la Sociéte Linnéenne." The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. It is illustrated with 11 beautiful hand colored plates, 1 black and white plate, and 2 black and white portraits. The covers have some moderate scuffing and wear with a little bit of corner wear and edge wear. The binding of the book is still good and sound. There are some old French natural history stamps to the backside of some of the plates, the title page, and a few additional other pages. The backside of the front fep has an inscription in pencil. The interior is toned from age but fairly clean with just some occasional scattered light foxing or grubbiness. Along with that, there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a tiny tear or chip, creased page corner, light bit of soiling, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book measures approximately 10 1/2 inches by 7 inches and is 522 pages long. The text is in French. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
