Sword brass hilt & brass sword scabbard are gold gilded. Blade has military motifs & American eagle. Scabbard has one dent.The Stafford Museum in Virginia shows this type of sword. Many companies in Virginia Provisional Army & Navy had Antebellum Militia Veterans as Commanders & Soldiers. Previously used weapons that were typically found in Antebellum Militia Units.
