Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Antique Abraham Lincoln Statue Lithograph in Oak Frame: The Man (also called Standing Lincoln) Up for listing, is one large antique lithograph of the Abraham Lincoln Statue, “The Man” or “The Standing Lincoln.” This bronze statue is by artist Augustus Saint-Gaudens and is located in Lincoln Park in Chicago and was erected in 1887. The lithograph features a statue of American’s 16th president standing in front of a chair. There is script in the bottom left of the lithograph that reads, “By St. Gaudens” and in the bottom right corner reads, “Lincoln Statue.” It appears that this piece originally hung in a classroom back in 1936. On the back of the frame, someone had written, “April 21, 1936. 8th Grade” There is also a list of names typed on a piece of paper taped to the back of the frame. I am assuming these may be the names of the 8th grade class back in 1936 (?) A little added history that does add a little character and prominence to the piece. The vintage OAK FRAME measures roughly 26 inches long by 18 inches wide. The artwork measures roughly 17x14 inches. There is some foxing and/or dirt that I will let the buyer see if they wish to clean. Please review all photos of the actual item and zoom in for details. The piece will come safely packaged for it’s journey from my home to yours.
