Description: A MEISSEN FIGURE GROUP OF ZEPHYR AND FLORA C. 1900, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, INCISED J.10., IMPRESSED 143, AFTER A MODEL BY JÜCHTZER The scantily clad lovers modelled standing, Flora wrapping one end of a garland around the winged Zephyr, who is holding the other end, on a gilt-enriched square base 11 3/8in. (28.9cm.) high Condition: the foot ground, with chips to one wing and to the petals of the floral garland; lacking one finger Jüchtzer took his inspiration for this model after a Roman group of Eros and Psyche obtained by Augustus II in 1727.
