9’ 3/2 Wolverine Bamboo Fly Rod - Montague Trade Rod

Description: 9’ 3/2 Wolverine Bamboo Fly Rod - Montague Trade Rod - Project Offering a bamboo fly rod for repair. This is a project rod and will require some work to get it back to fishable condition. The rod is 9’ long with three full length sections at 36 1/2” each. The spare tip is short at 32 1/2”. The only marking on the rod is a decal which indicates a brand name of “Wolverine;” however, based on the hardware, it was most likely made by Montague. The rod was flamed to a nice brown-tone finish, and it is wrapped in red tipped gold thread. It is equipped with a chrome plated, down-screw locking reel seat and chrome-plated ferrules. Two ferrules are cracked; there are cracks on the butt section female ferrule and mid section male ferrule (please see photos). All hardware shows wear and a few dings, and there are a couple of open seams showing in the cane. The ferrules will need cleaned and fixed to seat correctly. The ferrules are sizes 18/64 and 11/64, and the rod weighs 6.5 ounces. Please zoom in on photos for further details. If you have any questions or would like more photos, please don't hesitate to ask.
