Description: Here are 7 old photographs of various well-dressed women. There are various eras, styles and from different places. Only one has a name on it, the RPPC with white border of the sitting woman wearing the black dress, with white trim and black hat. She is identified only as Isabelle. There is no photographer's name on this one and no location. Another photo, the smallest one in the bunch features two women with dark coats and large hats. This measures 3 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches. It also has no photographer's mark on it and no location. The next one, slightly bigger than the last one, has 2 women in dark dresses laying down, one has an open book and looks to be reading to the other one. This photo has a missing upper corner and some stains. The photographers were Knowlton Brothers of Westfield, Mass. it measures 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches. The next 4 are cabinet card photos they measure 6 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches. The first of these is of a woman in a dark color dress, with embroidered flowers on it and solid cover sleeves, looks to be made of a heavy material. She has a row of buttons going up the front of the dress and is wearing a necklace and large dark hat that has dark color flowers, I think she is holding gloves and a walking stick. The background is dark. There is no photographer's mark on this photo. Next is a photo of a young woman dressed in black, a black dress, gloves and black fur coat with a slightly lighter color fur front and color. Her hat is perched on top of her dark hair and has a scalloped edge and something that sticks up in the middle of it, looks like two flowers and maybe some stems of greenery above them. The photo was taken by Smith in Sanford, ME. The next cabinet card photo is of a woman in a dark dress with a white lace collar and a pin at the top. A row of dark buttons goes down the front of the dress, the skirt looks frilly and pleated. She has on earrings; her dark hair is pulled back with curly bangs. This photographer was Tuttle of Belfast, ME. The last photo is of a woman, again wearing a dark dress, with slightly lighter colored stripes. It has a high neck with a brooch. She also has what could be a watch fob like thing attached to the bodice. Her hair is pulled back looks like it may be tied with a cloth bow or maybe that is part of the neckline. This photo was taken by A. V. Brown of 380 Main St. Springfield, Mass. The photos are clear but have some light wear from age and storage. Like the cardboard the cabinet cards are mounted on have some rough spots on the edges and corners. Also see description. All pretty neat photos. Postage will be 4.70 to the U. S. IF OUTSIDE THE U. S., PLEASE USE THE POSTAL CALCULATOR TO DETERMINE THE COST OF POSTAGE. If you like old photographs and ephemera, please check out my EBay store and the other old photos I have listed.
