I have successfully run over 4,000 rounds of .22 short on a one of these adapters without issues caused by this product. If you want to be able to easily run .22 short through a Ruger American Rimfire or Ruger 10/22* this adapter works great. It allows you to reliably feed the ammunition into the firearm for some awesome quiet .22 short fun. This item gets installed inside your rotary magazine, It does not require any permanent changes to your magazine. The only tool needed is a 3.5mm Alan Wrench or Hex driver to open the rotary magazine. This product simply drops into the magazine. There is a link to an installation video at the bottom of the listing **Please Read: This has only been tested on Ruger BX-1 rotary magazines and in Ruger American Rimfire and Ruger 10/22 Rifles. I cannot guarantee it will work on any aftermarket magazines. Or in any other rifle that may utilize the same or similar magazines. *Ruger 10/22: Due to the low energy of .22 short it will not Reliably cycle a Ruger 10/22 rifle. If you get a reduced weight recoil spring you may have better luck. Using 22 Shorts you will likely have to manually operate the action to feed the next round and you will likely get many stovepipes/jams. This is not a firearm. This item does not act as a firearm. This item does not extend the capacity of existing magazines. This item does not increase the fire rate of the firearm in any way, shape, or form.
