Description: This device provides the function of playback synchronizing the Nagra to a prerecorded pilot tone, an external reference or the actual line frequency.More useable to today's collector, it can also be used as a power supply or a battery charger for the Nagra. These two functions have been tested and work fine. The synchronization function has not been tested in detail but appears to be working just by the way the indicator lamps and the meter behave under power.I also believe that it sends out A/C power when a pilot signal is detected at the selected input, (Not sure of the current rating). This would be intended to supply power to equipment such as cameras and the like. This feature has not been tested.The two connectors named NAGRA are one for power and the other for the pilot signal. It would be possible to make the wrong connections to the Nagra by using the incorrect cables, with probably disastrous results for the NAGRA, the synchronizer or both.
