They officially licensed by FCA and are part of a limited edition, so says Denver Diecast. Limited to what, I don’t know. The paint finishes on these trucks are really nice and shine up quite well. The contrasting widow surround is a fantastic look that offsets the color of the paint job. Lots of detail on the exterior including color matched bumpers, chrome grill with black mesh that offsets the silver RAM logo in the middle of the grill and chrome headlight surround. I love the amazing chrome six spoke wheels that set off the color of the paint. The hood badge is small but great details that says it is a Ram “1500” with a 5.7 liter Hemi. The silver RAM logo on the front doors, the silver painted door handles and bed latch handle, along with the Ram logo on the tailgate give great contrast and stunning detail. The realistic exhaust tips and tail lights finish off the rear of the model. All the details draw the eyes around giving lots to look at for this model. The undercarriage shows some detail setting off the exhaust, catalytic converter, gas tank, most of the frame and rear suspension, and the spare tire. The front clip and suspension do not show a lot of detail; however, there is a differential fed by what I think is a transfer case to give this truck 4-wheel capability. While the interior is black and does not lend itself to showing detail, it is indeed packed with detail in the right light. It includes dash and console details along with seating detail including head restraints. A little custom detailing would set the interior off. They are nominally 4-7/8” Long x 1-5/8” wide x 1-1/2” high. The full size Ram is 229” which put this model at 1/48 scale as advertised by Denver Diecast. The newer trucks are so much larger that this looks great with 1/43 scale displays and does not look like it is 1:48 scale; however, it still looks good with 1:48 scale layouts and displays. I have over 300 mostly 1/43 scale models in my collection and I actually prefer the smaller 1:46 to 1:48 of the newer full size pickups to go in my collection. I’m trying to decide what color to keep in my collection. Sometimes I feel like Mark Twain who said, “I must have a prodigious amount of mind; it takes me as much as a week, sometimes, to make it up!” Decisions…decisions. As with all Denver Models they are not precision models and some may have small imperfections in the paint. Sorry they are inherent in the manufacturing process. However, most paint are not visible in a display or layout. We will inspect each one and try our best to describe any flaws. This item will be bubble wrapped and come to you in a small box.
