Description: The 1977-78 O-Pee-Chee WHA set consistedof 66 color standard-size cards. Printed in Canada, the cards were originally sold in 15-cent wax packs containing 12 cards and gum. Bilingual backs featured player statistics and a short biography. Card number 1 featured Gordie Howe's 1000th career goal. There were no key Rookie Cards in this set. This was the final WHA set. The league disbanded following the 1978-79 season with the four surviving teams (Edmonton, New England/Hartford, Quebec and Winnipeg) merging with the NHL.
