Description: This is a real deal 1967 small block Chevrolet engine block. The casting number is 3892657. The casting date is K 17 6 which decodes as November 17th, 1966. The 3893657 block was used exclusively for many applications from in the 1967 model year only. This is a very hard to find 1967 only block that was used on 302, 327, and 350 engine applications. Please confirm your specific application. The pad on this block is stamped VIII9MF as shown. The pad stamping shows this engine was assembled at the Flint assembly plant on November 19th, 1966 as a 327/210HP engine backed by an automatic trans with California Emissions for a 1967 Camaro. This casting number was also used on many other applications in 1967 including the Camaro Z/28 and high performance Corvettes and Chevelles. Many times, the numbers on the front pad are removed during the rebuild process which makes the block restoration correct for many other applications. Please confirm your specific application. This block is in good overall condition as shown. There are no breaks or repairs to this block. The bore size is .030 over at 4.030 inches. The bores all look quite nice with a ridge at the top from use and should bore out nicely. All threads are in good condition with a no helicoils or thread inserts. The block has been checked for cracks and none were found. I also have the crankshaft out of this block available if you need one. This block is guaranteed to be a good core for rebuilding.
