1949 N. Y. Bach Stradivarius Trumpet New York Large Bore 42

Description: 1949 New York Bach Trumpet. Large bore. 42 bell. Excellent condition. The mouthpiece receiver has been replaced with a modern Bach Artisan receiver for a better fit with modern mouthpieces, The 3rd valve slide pull knob is a replacement, made to look like the others and made from solid Nickel Silver. The original Nickel valve plating is in great shape, and the valves have excellent compression. A 1st valve slide thumb ring has been added. Lacquer is about 70%. There are some scratches, mainly on the upper, outer tuning slide tube. The trumpet plays very well with a solid and colorful sound. The response is excellent. It is a large bore, but it has a nice resistance. No case or mouthpiece.
