Description: Original 8x10" photo of legendary fighter Joe Louis, authentically signed by him in 1949, with detailed LOA. Fine posed shot of Louis in boxing attire was nicely autographed in a blue, ball-point pen. The dedication reads “To Jimmie Murdock, Good Luck Pal, Joe Louis...2/1/49”. This original photograph was signed by Louis as Heavyweight Champion, one month before he announced his retirement for the first time. Murdock was a boxing promoter in the Jacksonville Florida area and a big fan of The Brown Bomber.All of the writing was done by Joe Louis himself. The condition of the photo is Very Good, with handling wear, which includes light crazing. It presents very well. As a note: authentic Joe Louis autographed 8x10's are extremely hard to find.
